Owasso City Council
The City of Owasso has a Council/City Manager form of municipal goverment that
exists to provide public services.
The Owasso City Council is the legislative body, responsible for all powers of the city, except as otherwise provide in the
City Charter. Such as: to appoint and remove the city manager, enact municipal legislation,
fiscal affairs of the city, regulate elections, etc.
The City Manager has full responsibility for the day-to-day administrative functions of the government.
Five city council members are elected from five different wards, or sections, of the city. The Mayor and Vice Mayor is elected by the council.
