Some of our adoptees, or wards, come to us having been orphaned, some have been rescued from people who tried to make pets of them, and most of them are injured. Our sole purpose is to help them mend and get strong enough to be released back into the wild, where they belong. It is their natural environment, and all healthy wild born creatures should be allowed to stay wild and free.
Wild Rabbits & Pelican |
HECKHAVEN also takes in EXOTICS: Ferrets, Sugar Gliders, Rabbits, PotBelly Pigs, Parrots, etc. which people buy and then "get tired of them." PLEASE, PLEASE, read, talk to owners, learn about the animals, and consider your lifestyle and time available before you take on the responsibilities of an Exotic Pet. |
Baby Fox |
Mink, Opossum, Squirrels, Foxes, Nutria, Wild Rabbits, etc. - Young or old, they all come in afraid and hurt (mentally or physically). - We try to do our best with each of them. |
Heckhaven Wildlife Rehabilitation Center relies on donations. Please check-out our WebPage about us and our information WebPages. If you decide to help, you can adopt an animal, make a condolence donation, or help out with any donation you can. Your generosity makes our purpose possible, and every dollar counts towards the care and feeding of our adoptees and wards. |
